Annotation.
Breast cancer is the most frequent malignant disease in women in the Russian Federation. The main directions of breast cancer treatment include surgical, systemic and radiation treatment. It is extremely urgent to search for new medicamentous means that can significantly prolong the patient’s life and improve its quality. The biologically active supplement “SIBITAX® T-98” containing dihydroquercetin, which has antioxidant, capillary-protective, hemorheological, antiplatelet and anti-inflammatory activity, can be referred to such means. The aim of the study was to evaluate the changes in breast cancer patients during clinical and laboratory examination while using the dietary supplement “SIBITAX® T-98”, during 12 weeks. The study included 31 women with an average age of 53.46 ± 7.56 years. The control group consisted of women who did not receive the dietary supplement but received anti-cancer therapy - 16 people, average age 49 ± 6.33 years. All women were diagnosed with breast cancer (BC). It was found that the overall satisfaction score of the dietary supplement “SIBITAX® T-98” after application was 5.9 ± 1.1 points, indicating adherence to therapy. Against the background of application of dietary supplements “SIBITAX® T-98” in the dynamics of the clinical study statistically significantly decreased the content of total bilirubin in the biochemical blood analysis, which suggests an improvement in the detoxification function of the liver. During the study period positive dynamics in the assessment of the quality of life was established with regard to such symptoms as: reduction of pain in the area of surgical intervention, weakness, discomfort when moving the arm on the side of the lesion, increasing energy for everyday life, improved sleep.
